Please take some time to take a look at our upcoming events and special camp promotions below. We have basketball camps in the spring, summer, and winter. We also offer private training and semi-private training sessions. Semi-private sessions are every Monday at Serrano Gym from 5-6:30pm and is specially designed to accomodate beginning, intermediate, and advanced players! 1on1 private training sessions are also available if you are serious with the improvement of your basketball game. All sign-ups are through the Saddleback Valley Unified School District Department of Recreation and Community Services! 35% of proceeds go back to SVUSD schools! Thanks to our customers, Monster Game Basketball Camps has raised over $40,000 for SVUSD schools in less than four years of it's inception! Coach Marv has an extensive reputation for developing fundamentally sound basketball players and is endorsed by many county varsity players, college players, as well as NBA players. For over 12 years, his IDEA teaching system (Introduction, Demonstration, Explanation, and Application) is a proven teaching method that has elevated hundreds of basketball players to the next level. Coach Marv Lim personally teaches, demonstrates, and coaches all of his programs offered. Coach Marv is a former basketball coach at Santa Margarita Catholic High School and is currently coaching basketball at Mission Viejo High School. In all of our programs, basketball camps, high school preparation workouts, bi-monthly camps, semi-private training, and private training...players will learn on and off the court skills thats bigger than the game itself. Not only will players learn correct and advanced defensive and offensive basketball fundamentals...players will learn valuable instruction on: self confidence, setting goals and achieving them, good listening skills, good communication skills, discipline, importance of hard work ethics, respect, and teamwork. We are currently looking for players who are currently in 7th or 8th grade or 13-14 years old to join our MV Devils club basketball team. SUMMER 2012 Basketball Camp
Fee: $150 Date: August 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 from 9:00am-12:30pm Location: Serrano Intermediate Gym 24642 Jeronimo Ages: 4-13 years old (All Skill Levels Welcome) Learn how to play 'FUN'da'MENTAL'ly sound basketball in this camp focusing on he fundamentals of shooting, passing , dribbling, offensive moves rebounding, and defense. Players will execute basketball drills instructed by Coach Marv Lim in a high energy teamwork environment. Players will focus on critical areas players need to master in order to succeed on the court with confidence. This camp is for the beginning-intermediate-advanced player as campers will be divided according to skill level for drills and basketball games. High School Preparation Call Coach Marv for locations and schedules High School Preparation Workout Practices (Boys & Girls 6th _ 8th grade only). This is designed for players who want to play in high school. Grades 6th _ 8th are extremely crucial in a player’s skill, player character, and basketball I.Q. development. From 6th grade on up, players don't have the luxury of time anymore as high school is fast approaching! Don’t waste these precious years with your basketball development! This program will teach players what high school coaches expect out of their players. Players will learn advanced defensive and offensive technique as well as what it takes to be a responsible player both on and off the court. These practices will teach players basketball terminology, different types of defenses, motion offenses, sets, and other crucial areas of basketball that is required in order to be successful in high school basketball. This is a great program to get a head start before high school tryouts! These practices will end with a coach controlled scrimmage so that players can learn and enhance basketball I.Q. while they are in game like situations.
